How we try to keep in touch and provide information about the church and parish life
The church celebrates the presence of God through worship and reaching out into the community. As part of this we try to provide information to those not otherwise able to access it, often through distance. Also, we try to interpret things about the church and church life to make them more accessible to everyone.
There are various ways of doing this in the parish and the main ones we use are through the newsletter (The Bridge) produced monthly and also through this website
The aim is to let everyone be aware of church services and parish events, and to keep them in touch with the community, besides general news and views.
We already offer help to visitors with prayer in the three churches by providing a book with a selection of favourite prayers chosen by members of the congregation. We also have free prayer leaflets and bookmarks, as well as a prayer request book. If there is anyone you want prayed for do include their names in one of these books and we will pray for them.
With the increasing use of the internet we have extended our website. We include the following and hope to add further resources:
- Calendar of church services
- Church and church related personnel
- Activities available for young people, e.g. Messy Church
- Selection of favourite prayers
- Internet links with useful prayer resources and services from other websites
